This is a classic Ordovician trilobite. It is a nice Ceraurus plattinensis from Ontario, Canada. This type is one of the hardest Canadian Ceraurus-types to find in good shape. The trilobite is well articulated and exhibits fine detail. The sweeping genal spines and the long pygidial spines are well displayed. The cream-colored fossil contrasts nicely with the grey matrix. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the semi-squared plate of limestone. This is a very good example of one of the most popular trilobites among collectors.
