Here is a plate with two different species of Asaphus represented. The specimen on the left is Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus. The trilobite on the right is Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus. The main difference between the two species is the length of the eye stalks. Both trilobites are inflated and have a rich brown color that contrasts well with the matrix. This is a nice plate of Russian Asaphid trilobites.
