Here is a very unusual fossil. This is a pair of prone Kainops raymondi from the Devonian of Oklahoma. These 3-dimensional trilobites exhibit fine detail - the individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are quite evident. The dark bugs contrast wonderfully with the buff-colored matrix and are well presented on the large, natural plate of limestone that also contains two different brachiopods. This is a very nice display block of a Devonian sea floor bottom.
