This is a very rare Pterygometopus sp. from the Ordovician of Russia. This type differs from the more common Chasmops in that it is lacking genal spines. The trilobite itself is inflated and sits on a nice, natural piece of matrix. This specimen is one of the few complete ones we have ever seen. This is a fine specimen of a very rare Pterygometopus from Russia.
