Here is a specimen for the true trilobite connoisseur. This is a Pseudoasaphus sp. from the Ordovician of Russia. It has been ventrally prepared to show the underside of the exoskeleton. The large hypostoma (mouthplate) is well exposed. The trilobite is a rich caramel-brown color and contrasts sharply with the natural matrix block. This is an unusual preparation of an unusual trilobite from Russia
