This is a rare plate of Ordovician trilobites. It is a complete Asaphopsoides and others from the Hunan Province of China. This Asaphopsoides specimen measures a whopping 7 1/2 inches - a large bug, to say the least. There is also a large, complete Psilocephalina lubrica on the right side of the plate, and TWO trilobites preserved on the back of the Asaphopsoides - Norinia convexa (top) and Paraszechuanella (bottom). The trilobites have good detail and contrasts well on the plate of grey limestone. The bugs are nicely showcased on the squared, unbroken block of matrix. This is a one-of-a-kind trilobite plate that can be seen from across the room.
