Here is a rare trilobite association. This is a large Modocia typicalis and Agnostids from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. There is no restoration or reconstruction on this fantastic specimen. This large trilobite is very prone and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present, and the genal spines are exquisitely displayed. The bug is somewhat inflated and exhibits excellent detail. The sharply-pointed pleural spines are intact and easily seen. This trilobite has gorgeous natural color - the chocolate brown fossil contrasts beautifully with the pinkish-orange matrix. The bug is almost perfectly centered on the large, squared plate of matrix that also includes TEN AGNOSTID TRILOBITES! This is a fabulous display example of Modocia typicalis lying in a bed of Agnostids.
