This is a very nice Canadian trilobite. It is a large Ceraurus plattinensis from Ontario, Canada. This specimen was recently acquired from a major trilobite collector. This type is one of the hardest Canadian Ceraurus-types to find in nice shape. This one is not only nice, it is excellent. The trilobite has beautifully preserved thick shell exoskeleton - the bug is wonderfully articulated and extremely 3-D. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the squared matrix block. This is very fine example of a complete Ceraurus plattinensis from Canada.
