This is a very unusual trilobite. It is a HUGE Placoparia from Morocco. Occasionally, an example of this type is unearthed in Morocco, but one this large is extremely uncommon - it is the largest Placoparia trilobite from any locality we have ever seen! The trilobite is complete and outstretched - this type is often found disarticulated. The bug is well showcased and has great natural DARK RED color and excellent detail. The trilobites is nicely centered on the dense sandstone block. And this is a split pair - both part and counterpart (pictured) are included here together. This is easily one of the most collectible examples of this strange trilobite that we have seen.
