This specimen is a double Asaphus (Neoasaphus ) holmi. This is a fairly unusual species of Asaphus. This specimen has two large trilobites on the same matrix plate. Both trilobites are inflated and have a rich brown color which contrasts very well against the cream-colored matrix. This is a beautiful trilobite display plate from Russia.
