Here is a very distinct specimen of Flexicalymene senaria from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry of New York. This complete trilobite is prone, well articulated, and extremely inflated. Both free cheeks are present, which is quite unusual. The bug exhibits fine detail - even the tiny granulations on the thick shell exoskeleton are easily seen. The trilobite has great, natural color and contrast and is well centered on the large, squared block of limestone that contains many small fossils. This is a collectible example of an outstretched Flexicalymene senaria from the Walcott-Rust Quarry.
