This is a spectacular example of a famous US trilobite. It is an absolutely stunning Isotelus gigas from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry (WRQ) near Trenton Falls, New York. This type is one of the original trilobites that Charles Walcott and James Hall made famous a century ago!. Trilobites of this quality, from this site, have been sought-after for over a century! This fabulous fossil is EXTREMELY inflated and 3-D, perfectly articulated, and has NO RESTORATION WHATSOEVER. The thick shell exoskeleton is very well preserved - the hair pores are even intact on the skin. This truly is a specimen of Isotelus that could be a centerpiece of any museum or private collection This is a Top Quality example of Isotelus gigas, possibly the most classic of all classic US trilobites.
