This is an excellent Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a fabulous Wanneria walcottana from the classic Kinzers Formation of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This large specimen was found in 1984, and has been in a MAJOR fossil collection ever since. This specimen was found in the Brubaker's Quarry - trilobites from this quarry are much rarer than fossils from the Fruitville Quarry or most other local quarries. This primitive trilobite is well articulated and exhibits outstanding detail. The long pleural spines are beautifully displayed, and both short genal spines are easily seen - even the tiny pygidium is preserved! The large size, great preservation, and beautiful, natural coloration make for a very collectible fossil. This is wonderfully complete specimen of one of the most sought-after trilobites from Pennsylvania.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
