Here is a very rare trilobite from the Ordovician of Russia. It is a semi-enrolled specimen of Remopleurides nanus. This specimen is the only one we have ever seen. It exhibits great detail and is nicely infated. The trilobite sits on a small pillar of matrix. The finely granulose surface of the exoskeleton is quite evident. This is a very good example of a rare Remopleurides.
