Here is an extremely rare trilobite from South America. This is a complete Malvinella buddae from the Devonian of Bolivia. Decades ago, Bolivian trilobites were somewhat obtainable. However, most of the local diggers got involved in the cocaine business, which was much more profitable! Now, it is quite difficult to get specimens from this area. This ornate trilobite was found in a concretion, so the detail is exquisite. This fabulous trilobite is preserved in an almost prone position and is very 3-dimensional. The detail of the bug is extraordinary, and the NATURAL color is striking. This is a top quality example of this very uncommon trilobite from the Southern Hemisphere.
