This is a beautiful TRIPLE Ceraurus pleurexanthemus plate from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry (WRQ) near Trenton Falls, New York. This type is one of the original trilobites that Charles Walcott and James Hall made famous a century ago! All three specimens on the plate have their free cheeksand eyes intact, which is quite unusual. The trilobites have great detail preserved, showcasing the pustulated, thick shell exoskeletons beautifully. The bugs are very well articulated and very well displayed on the rectangular limestone plate - fully natural, no compositing! Anyone who knows anything about the history of US trilobites knows how important a piece like this is. This is a top quality triple example of classic Ceraurus pleurexanthemus trilobites from New York State.
