This is a wonderful spiny trilobite. It is a fabulous Kettneraspis williamsi from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This specimen was found and prepared by Mike Thomas of EXTINCTIONS in 1996 (the piece is signed and dated by Mike). This outstretched trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits excellent detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The long genal spines and the thin pleural spines are beautifully displayed. The protruding eyes are easily seen, and the ''fringes'' of the free cheeks are clearly defined. The inflated bug has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the large, natural plate of matrix that also contains a partial Paciphacops. This is a fantastic specimen of Kettneraspis from Oklahoma - one of the nicest ever found.
