Here is a very nice specimen of Flexicalymene senaria from the famous Walcott-Rust Quarry of New York. This complete trilobite is almost perfectly prone and well articulated. Both free cheeks are present, which is quite unusual. The bug exhibits fine detail - even the tiny granulations on the thick shell exoskeleton are easily seen. The trilobite has great, natural color and contrast and is well centered on the squared block of limestone. This is a very nice example of an outstretched Flexicalymene senaria from the Walcott-Rust Quarry.
