This is a classic US trilobite. It is an excellent Isotelus maximus from Ohio. This type of trilobite is one of the most recognizable trilobites in the world, especially because of its maximum size. This type of trilobite has also been officially named the ''State Fossil of Ohio''. This specimen is complete, outstretched, and beautifully preserved. The thick shell exoskeleton is intact and has nice detail intact. The chocolate-brown coloration of the bug is quite striking. The distinct trilobite contrasts beautifully with the rectangular, blue-grey matrix block. This is a very nice, outstretched Isotelus maximus from the Cincinnati area.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
