This is a nice specimen of Changaspis elongata from the Cambrian of China. This type of trilobite has many thoracic segments with long pleural spines. This specimen is wonderfully articulated and exhibits great detail. The cephalon (head) is easily seen, and the extremely long pleural spines are beautifully displayed - even the small pygidium is present and tightly attached. The bug has very good natural color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the natural plate of matrix. This is a very nice example of this primitive trilobite from China.
