This is a rare natural double of Bumastus ioxus from the Rochester Shale of New York. These trilobites are complete and very 3-dimensionally preserved. The bugs are very prone and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present on both trilobites, which is quite unusual. The dark fossils contrast beautifully with the light grey matrix. The bugs are nicely presented on the large plate of shale. This is a very nice pair of complete Bumastus ioxus from Upstate New York.
