This is a very rare trilobite. It is a complete Dalmanites rutellum from the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma. This specimen is semi-outstretched, which is extremely unusual - ALMOST ALL of this type are found enrolled. The head is very inflated and has excellent detail - the genal spines are free-standing, and the large eyes showcase the facets beautifully. The rest of the bug is also very detailed, and the tail even has the classic caudal ''tailspine'' intact. This is a very displayable, complete example of one of the most sought-after trilobites from the Henryhouse Formation.
