This is a classic example of a famous spiny trilobite. It is a wonderful Dicranurus hamatus elegantus from Oklahoma. This specimen was found over 20 years ago by Allen Graffham and was recently acquired from a MAJOR fossil collection. This type is probably the most sought-after and recognizable trilobite from Oklahoma. This large fossil is nicely outstretched on a natural matrix plate. Both ''horns'' are beautifully preserved, the distinct eyes are easily seen, and even the tiny tail is fully intact. Dicranurus is one of the hardest Oklahoma trilobites to find this well articulated - usually the free cheeks are missing, and the body is ''jumbled''. This is a historical specimen found in the early days of collecting Oklahoma trilobites.
