Here is an excellent specimen of a rare trilobite. This is Pseudomegalaspis patagiata from the Ordovician of Sweden. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous DeRosear Collection. This extremely prone trilobite is complete and very nicely articulated. The bug has very thick exoskeleton and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are clearly defined, and the large eyes are easily seen. The trilobite has outstanding natural color and contrast and is beautifully positioned on the block of limestone matrix. This is a very collectible example of this extremely uncommon trilobite from Sweden.
