This is a very rare association plate. It is a beautiful pairing of a large Placoparia and complete Brittlestar from Morocco. Occasionally, an example of Placoparia is unearthed in Morocco, but a brittlestar association plate like this is extremely uncommon. The trilobite is complete and outstretched - this type is often found disarticulated. The brittlestar has all five arms intact, which is also extremely unusual. The fossils are well showcased and have great natural color and fine detail. The specimens are aesthetically positioned and squared matrix plate and are fully natural to the plate - not composited. This is one of the coolest fossils we have seen from the Ordovician sandstone layers of Morocco.
