This is an unique trilobite specimen from the Devonian of Morocco. There are two Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus trilobites on the block - one large and one small. Both are natural to the piece - there has been no compositing done to this magnificent specimen. An extremely large, inflated Reedops is on the bottom of the block. This bug exhibits wonderful detail - the thick-shelled exoskeleton is easily seen. On the top of the block is another Reedops specimen. This 3-dimensional trilobite has the nose and tail prepared in a free-standing manner for optimal display. Both trilobites have excellent eyes - the individual lenses of the compound eyes are easily seen. The colorful trilobites contrast well with the lighter-colored matrix. The arthropods are beautifully showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is an outstanding display specimen of two Reedops trilobites that has been artfully prepared to its maximum potential.
