As everyone knows, complete Mississippian trilobites are quite rare. And complete Mississippian trilobites from New Mexico are extremely rare. This is a beautiful Nunnaspis stitti from the Lake Valley Formation of New Mexico. This specimen was recently acquired from Zarko's Collection. The trilobite is complete and outstretched, which is extremely unusual. Even the free cheeks are present, which is also super rare. The eyes are clearly defined, and the calcitic exoskeleton exhibits fine detail. The bug is well displayed on the large, natural matrix block. This is a very collectible specimen of this highly uncommon Carboniferous trilobite from New Mexico.
