This is a very distinct spiny trilobite. It is a complete Selenopeltis sp. from the Ordovician Beds of Morocco. This trilobite is very detailed - the long spines are very easily seen. The natural orange coloration is nicely preserved and contrasts well with the sculpted matrix. The large bug is beautifully articulated and wonderfully showcased on the large, natural block of sandstone. This is a very nice example of this unusual, long-spined trilobite from Morocco.
