Here is a fabulous specimen of a very unusual Russian trilobite. This is a complete example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) intermedius. This trilobite has its long eye stalks prominently displayed - only Asaphus (Neoasaphus) kowalewskii has longer eye stalks. The very large trilobite is very 3-dimensional and nicely articulated. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well positioned on the natural, large plate of limestone. This is a very collectible specimen of this rare stalk-eyed Asaphid trilobites from Russia.
