This is a very nice Ordovician trilobite. It is a complete Ceraurus sp. from Ontario, Canada. We just acquired this specimen from a major trilobite collector and reprepared it. The trilobite is nicely outstretched and wonderfully prone. The thick shell exoskeleton is well-preserved. But the real bonus of this specimen is the clusters of bryozoans acattered about the plate. The trilobite is aesthetically showcased in and among the bryozoans and brachiopods. This is a textbook example of an Ordovician sea floor bottom with a complete Ceraurus preserved among the other life forms.
