This is a HUGE specimen of a new type of Onnia from the Ordovician of Morocco. This monster Trinucleid trilobite is wonderfully articulated, extremely inflated, and exhibits very fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are well preserved, and the wide, triangular pygidium is easily seen. The orange trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The distinct bug is beautifully displayed on the sculpted plate of dense sandstone that also contains a complete Selenopeltis! This is a fabulous example of this very large type of Onnia and Selenopeltis from Morocco.
