This is a very rare trilobite. It is a beautiful Proetus cf. granulatus from Gotland, Sweden. The classic European locality is under water - trilobite finds are extremely rare. This complete specimen is fully outstretched - almost all of the trilobites found at this locality have been incomplete or enrolled. The bug has a striking, natural chocolate-brown exoskeleton - beautiful! And it much better than the photo shows! This is a spectacular example of a very rare Silurian trilobite from Sweden.
