This is a beautiful example of a rare US trilobite. This is a fabulous Fragiscutum glebalis from the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous DeRosear Collection. The trilobite is complete, outstretched, and nicely articulated (which is extremely unusual for this type). The bug has both free cheeks intact and both knob-like eyes, which, again, is extremely hard to find in this condition. The fossil is well centered on the squared matrix block. This is a very collectible example of this uncommon Oklahoma trilobite from the DeRosear Collection, possibly the best one we have ever seen.
