This is a very nice example of a large, spiny trilobite. It is a complete Drotops armatus from Morocco. This specimen was prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. This distinct trilobite has many, MANY free-standing spines protruding from the head, body, and tail. The compound faceted eyes are practically perfect and display beautifully. The bug is extremely inflated and 3-D and is beautifully showcased on the large, sculpted block of limestone. This is a very collectible example of this large Moroccan ''Spiny Phacops''.
