This is a fine example of Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from the Devonian of Morocco. Reedops are very under-appreciated because they look so much like the more common Phacops. This trilobite is very well preserved in an outstretched position. The 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The ancient arthropod has great natural color and contrast and is wonderfully presented on the rounded block of sculpted limestone. This is a very nice example of Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus that displays beautifully.
