This is a complete, split pair specimen of Parabolina spinulosa from the Upper Cambrian of Wales. This fossil was recently acquired from the John Page Collection. John Page was a famous European trilobite collector. This type of trilobite has pleural spines that increase in length toward the pygidium and even longer pygidial spines that are very slender in appearance - incredibly, these spines are beautifully displayed on this specimen. The overall quality of the bug is extremely fine - even the free cheeks are intact. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the large, rectangular plate of shale that also included its split pair counterpart (not pictured). This is a collectible example of this classic Upper Cambrian trilobite from the John Page Collection.
