This is an excellent US trilobite that we recently obtained from the famous DeRosear Collection. It is a beautiful Cryptolithoides ulrichi from the Ordovician of Oklahoma. This bug is a rare occurrence, and to find one with the pitted fringe preserved is even more unusual! This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits superb detail. The wide, pustulose brim of the cephalon is beautifully displayed, and the triangular pygidium is intact and tightly attached to the thorax of the beast. The fossil has very nice color and contrast and is well showcased on the natural plate of matrix that has many graptolites preserved on both sides of the rock! This is a great example of this highly elusive Oklahoma trilobite from the DeRosear Collection. (Original label included.)

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
