This is a beautiful trilobite that we recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection (#847). It is a pristine Anebolithus simplicior from the Ordovician of Great Britain. This prone trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. The detail of this bug is just incredible - the finely granulose cephalic fringe seems to exhibit every bump. The extremely long, thin genal spines are beautifully displayed and extend way beyond the body of the trilobite. The bug has excellent color and contrast and is well centered on a large plate of matrix. This is easily the most displayable example of Anebolithus that we have seen.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
