This is an excellent specimen of Nephrolenellus geniculatus from the Pioche Formation of Nevada. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous DeRosear Collection. The trilobite is almost perfectly articulated and beautifully detailed. The rich color of the trilobite contrasts well with the lighter color of the matrix. The specimen has intact the textbook long thoracic spines and worm-like opisthothorax, which is quite unusual. The fossil is well centered on a squared matrix block. This is a fabulous specimen of Nephrolenellus from the DeRosear Collection.
