This is wonderful Silurian trilobite. It is a large Calymene clavicula from Oklahoma. This specimen was acquired from the famous Frank Crane Collection. The trilobite is complete and very well articulated (tail is present, but hard to see in the photo). The bug has both free cheeks preserved, and the eyes display prominently. The trilobite is nicely positioned on the large, sculpted block of marlstone. And the color - the color is beautiful and fully natural. But one of the best features of this trilobite is that it is fully inflated and 3-dimensional - no compression whatsoever. This is a very displayable Calymene clavicula from the Frank Crane Collection.
