This is a fabulous Phacopid trilobite. It is a large Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from the Devonian of Morocco. This complete trilobite is EXTREMELY 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The bug is nicely outstretched and exhibits very fine detail - the compound eye facets are practically flawless. The fossil has been prepared in very high relief so that it is elevated above the level of the surrounding rock. The trilobite has excellent, natural, olive green coloration that contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well centered on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is probably the best Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus we have ever had.

This fossil was collected legally, and is also being sold legally.
