You may have seen a double Dalmanites before, but not like this one! This is a super double Dalmanites limulurus from New York. This specimen was prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab (can you tell?) This plate is fully natural - they lay on the plate exactly where they died millions of years ago. They are facing the same direction on the plate (NE), which makes for an aesthetic display. Both trilobites are beautiful and have great compound eyes preserved - the individual facets are EASILY seen. This is an extremely displayable pair of Dalmanites limulurus preserved together forever.
