Here is a fine example of Asaphiscus wheeleri from the Cambrian of Utah. This trilobite is complete and very well articulated. The bug exhibits very fine detail - both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. This dark black trilobite has thick exoskeleton that contrasts strikingly with the grey matrix. The bug is wonderfully showcased on the natural plate of colorful shale. This is a very nice Asaphiscus wheeleri with free cheeks intact.
