This is a very unusual Cambrian trilobite. It is a fabulous Protolenus densigranulatus from the Cambropallas Beds of Morocco. This specimen has both free cheeks present, with both long genal spines intact, which is extremely rare. The trilobite also has very short pleural spines, giving the bug its unusual, worm-like look. The trilobite's natural orange coloration contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. This is one trilobite you do not see everyday, especially in this high quality and completeness. (The excellent counterpart to this trilobite is included, but not shown.)
