This is an unusual trilobite. It is a Comura cometa Type "B" from Morocco. Last week, we featured a Comura cometa Type "A" as our "Trilobite of the Week". This specimen has longer, thinner genal spines and longer tailspines than the Type "A". This one has very nice detail, and it is very 3-D on the matrix. The long genal spines are free-standing, and there is a different pygidium (Heliopyge?) on the matrix. It is one of the most displayable examples of this type we have ever had.
