Here is a great example of Isotelus mafritzi from the Ordovician of Canada. This distinct specimen is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits hardly any crushing of the exoskeleton. This specimen is one of the most inflated examples of this trilobite that we have had. The bug is prone and wonderfully articulated. The thick, brownish-black exoskeleton is very nicely preserved and exhibits fine detail. The protruding eyes are quite elevated above the sleek carapace. The trilobite contrasts well with the grey limestone block. This is a very collectible example of this robust Isotelus from Canada.
