This is a fantastic Phacopid trilobite. It is a fabulous Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from the Devonian of Morocco. This complete trilobite is EXTREMELY 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The bug is perfectly outstretched and exhibits very fine detail. The fossil has been prepared in very high relief so that it is elevated above the level of the surrounding rock. The trilobite has excellent, natural, olive-brown coloration that contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well centered on the sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a pristine example of Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from the Atlas Mountains.
