Here is a nice enrolled example of a classic US trilobite. This is Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Illinois. This specimen was recently acquired from the DeRosear Collection. Doug acquired this specimen in years ago, and it has been in his collection ever since. The enrolled trilobite is well preserved and exhibits fine detail. The bug is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The trilobite has very good natural color and is fully free of matrix. This is a wonderful example of an uncommon enrolled Sthenarocalymene from the DeRosear Collection (#287).
