This is a very nice example of an extremely unusual trilobite. This type looks like the standard Modocia-Elrathia-Bolaspidella bugs, but look again - this trilobite has axial spines running down the back. We have never seen Utah bugs quite like this. The trilobite is complete and nicely outstretched. The fossil is well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a collectible specimen of this very uncommon spiny trilobite from Utah.
