This is an extremely detailed US trilobite. It is a fabulous Ameropiltonia lauradanae from the Mississippian of Missouri. As everyone knows, complete Carboniferous trilobites are quite rare, and ones this nice are almost unheard of. This bug is extremely inflated and extremely well preserved. The fossil has great natural color and contrast and is beautifully showcased on the squared matrix plate. This is one of the best examples of Ameropiltonia lauradanae that we have had.
